Michael the Archangel

One of the chief princes.
When the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood the messenger for twenty-one days, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help. Michael is named as a prince — and Colossians names uMsindisi as the head of all principality and power. Hold the two together as you study the connection between them.
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Defender of His people.
Michael is the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people — and at the time of trouble, he stands up, and the people written in the book are delivered. In Revelation he and his angels fight the dragon, and the accuser of our brethren is cast down. In Jude, contending with the devil over the body of Moses, he brings no railing accusation but says, The Lord rebuke thee. And in Daniel 10:21 there is none that holdeth with the messenger in these things but Michael your prince.
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Captain of the host.
By Jericho, Joshua meets a man with his sword drawn and asks, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? The answer: Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. Joshua falls on his face, and the captain tells him to loose his shoe, for the place whereon he stands is holy — declaring the ground of the Most High as holy.
And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of uSoNINI NaNINI am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?

Until Michael is moved.
There is much that has yet to transpire before Michael is moved. Read Daniel 10:21 alongside 2 Thessalonians 2:7 — the mystery of iniquity already at work, and he who now letteth, until he be taken out of the way.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

The study closes where it opened: who do you say he is? Bring the passages together — prince, defender, captain, the one who stands up at the time of trouble — and answer it for yourself before the assembly.
